Of course, you may already know that word of the day, but it never hurts to hear about its meaning and origin again.

I think it’s a great podcast for an everyday book(lover) reader such as myself.

In this podcast, you even have the editor making a sentence with the word of the, talking about its origin and its related word(s).

This podcast provides an awesome explanation for each word. The episodes are very concise and informative.

Get your daily dose of Word Power from the Merriam-Webster’s podcast. Or visit there website, it’s fun there too; there are quizzes to test your vocabulary, and you can name that synonym.

  1. I haven’t heard this one before, but I am usually commuting about an hour from my home and need more podcasts in my life. Have you listened to A Way with Words? I love that one, which also delves into the origins of words and their meaning over time.
