I lost my father to #ProstateCancer

Hello! How’s everyone doing here? I know, it’s been a while since I’ve written anything on my blog, but I’m still here guys. I’ll be back to my blog and visiting everyone’s blog soon.

I thought today I can sit and let everyone know about the passing of my father. I’ve been trying to carry on with my life and get back to normal as much as I can after losing my father to Prostate Cancer almost three months ago.

This Father’s Day was pretty hard on me, but it was also nice seeing others celebrate with their fathers.

I just wanted to write something short to let you know what’s been happening in regards to my absence here on my blog. I continued to read all through it, it helped a bit to at least take my mind off that part of my life for a little while. But I couldn’t seem to be able to write a review on anything I read and going to work, well that’s another mountain to climb even now, months later.

Whew! It’s been a struggle, but my family and I are getting there. Watching a family member suffer from any disease is painful, it takes its toll in many ways. My journey to healing has only just begun, although losing a loved one doesn’t ever leave our hearts we know we have to keep on living our best life.

Well, I didn’t want to make this long and drawn out so, I’ll stop here.

Thank you for reading!

  1. Oh, Rosemary, I’m so very sorry. I’ve wondered where you’ve been so thank you for sharing your loss. Losing a parent cuts deep and will take time to heal. I’ve been there.

I lost my mother to lung cancer about 18 months ago and struggled for about six months. Starting my blog was one of the steps I took to move out of my despair. Everyone grieves differently but we share a knowledge of how that loss makes you feel. I can now say that when I think of my Mom now, it brings more comfort than sadness. It took time and it was a process.

I’m including you and your family in my prayers. We’ll be here whenever you’re ready to return💜

  2. Rose, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your father. I have missed seeing you, but I completely understand. That quote from Cathy Lamb- wow, no wonder I love to read her books; it truly says it all. I have not lost a parent, but I have lost other close family members, and I can remember well the beginning of that difficult walk through grief. Whenever you are ready to come back, we will all be here and ready to welcome you with open arms. Sending love and prayers for you and your family.
