The Book Review – Podcast

Hi Everyone😊, it’s been a while since I did a podcast mention. Today I’m doing The Book Review podcast from the The New York Times, hosted by Book Review Editor Pamela Paul and other editors. Pamela does her research well before she interviews the authors, I think she’s an excellent interviewer.

Authors and critics are brought in to discuss books. This podcast gives us the opportunity to hear first hand the author’s thoughts on their books, and how critics feel about a particular book. We get a glimpse of how some of their ideas come about for their books.

This podcast is another fun way to learn about the best new books available. I find it quite interesting listening to the authors discuss their books.

It’s also another great way to find awesome books to read. I mean our TBR pile can never be to large right😅.

Each week Pamela Paul conducts interviews with two authors of popular new book releases, both fiction and nonfiction.

After the interviews, we get some insights into the book industry news and a discussion from a round-table of reviewers about what they are reading.

The most recent episode is Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah on “Friday Black”, this is his debut collection of stories. Also, in this episode, Joseph Ellis discusses his new book, “American Dialogue”.

I enjoyed the June 22 episode on The life of Atticus Finch where Joseph Crespino talks about his biography of Harper Lee’s fictional character. Very interesting!
